Reply:Make them an iMemoryBook.

Last year, my friend did an iMemoryBook for her Grandparents 50th anniversary. It worked wonderful. She talked her Grandpa into writing his story of how he met and how he got engaged and then had her Grandma do the same. After they had both written, she invited all of her Grandparent family and friends to come to the book. (Inviting is easy on iMemoryBook, the system just send out emails for you) By the end she had like a 180 page book to give to her grandparents for their anniversary.

It was a huge hit. and the book was less than $60

I also did one of these for my grandparents. They cried when they got the book.
Reply:please no plates or glasses stamped 50 Th anniversary,I see so many of them at thrift stores. How about a nice restaurant ,dinner for two?Flowers are always in vogue and much appreciated, maybe with a selection of fruit and chocolates, the flowers could be the same as in the wedding bouquet,to make it special?A selection of gourmet teas and coffee%26#039;s.At this stage they don%26#039;t want things to collect dust just a nice remembrance to make the day feel really special.Hope this helped.
Reply:why not take them to a nice west end show in london and a meal theres lots of shows on or take them to a show near where you live
Reply:a wii!
Reply:If you go to Things Remembered they usually have nice gifts that you could have engraved with their names and dates. Gold is the 50th anniversay so maybe a gold plated frame or something to that effect. Check out their website.

Reply:Here%26#039;s something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:

Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you they, and family would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!

The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.

Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.

Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
Reply:is their anything that either of them have ever mentioned??

for my boyfriend%26#039;s parents 25th anniversary (this march) we bought them matching wedding rings since god knows what happened to theirs.. anyway, i wrapped them up in these little silver bags with silver tissue paper and silver bows.. (since it%26#039;s the %26quot;silver%26quot; anniversary).. it was really cute.. they cried.. maybe some nice anniversary rings with something cute inscribed?? unless you don%26#039;t think they%26#039;d like that..

you should try google.com searching it.. there%26#039;s tons of good ideas on there!!

i%26#039;d be totally stuck on this one.. it took me a while to think of the rings idea.. i like that idea about the nice restaurant for two, that%26#039;s kind of sweet!!

i also really like the idea of something personalized (i think people really cherish and appreciate that stuff.. it probably doesn%26#039;t end up in the junk stores until the people die and their kids give it all away!!) try things remembered, they have really nice stuff!!

it is the golden anniversary, so try to stick with gold stuff and glass is always nice and beautiful too.. good luck!!
Reply:I don%26#039;t know how much you want to spend, but here are a few suggestions:

Golden roses - either a bouquet or a couple of plants for the garden

Bottle of champagne

Meal for two at a local restaurant

Garden bench engraved with their names %26amp; wedding date

Picture of the place they were married/celebrated their honeymoon.

Best of luck! The fact that you%26#039;ve made an effort with surely make their day.
